Conference Call of the Birds

11 Jun Conference Call of the Birds

We’re very pleased to launch the website for The Conference Call of the Birds. The project is a multi-artform celebration of the national birds of the world. On this site you’ll be able to find out about the birds that represent the countries and nations competing in the XX Commonwealth Games kicking off in Glasgow in two weeks time.

You’ll also be able to see images of the bird posters that are going up around the city. If you spot one of the posters in the flesh, take a photo of it and tweet tweet tweet it to us @fishngame Maybe you’ll be able to find all 30!

There’s also information about live events and performances coming up – the first one will take place on the 24th July in the Glasgow Green Live Zone. In the performance, Eilidh MacAskill asks you, the audience to take on the role of the national birds in a never-before-attempted international avian conference call. It features sound and music by Greg Sinclair and costumes by Kirsty Roberts.

Also look out for other Fish & Game events during the games. Our enthusiastic teams will be out and about across the city looking for winners with Everyone’s A Winner, Baby!
